Many emotions often get stuck in the lung area, unable to be expressed. The following exercise is beneficial for many lung ailments, such as asthma, bronchitis, grief, colds and pent-up feelings of loneliness.

Exercise:

Stand barefoot on the grass with your arms down by your sides

Raise your arms above your head and hold them straight as you breathe in.

As you breathe out bend the body at the waist in one swift downward movement, letting go of the breath in a fast exhale. Bend your knees slightly as you bend forwards and your arms need to freefall forward towards your feet as you let go of all tension in them.

Note how you feel before and after. Repeat the exercise in sets of three’s – so either 3, 6 or 9 times.
